Climate control buttons don't work???

Re: Climate control buttons don't work???
Usually the control with all the buttons break the same time. Meaning the control board as one piece. The ***** are a different component.
If the AC turns the compressor ON/OFF and you hear the recirc button move the flap, and the LED indicators work when you press the buttons, then I guess the control should be good. The next thing to check is the motor that moves the flap to control the air direction.

Ditto the above, it will be the mode control motor or linkage from it, although it could still be the control head or wiring.
#4 is the mode control motor... http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal
You can stick you head up the drivers side of the dash and see if the motor moves when you press the mode buttons, check the black/yellow lead going to it, it should be a power lead, [ign. switch on] the black lead is a ground all the other leads come from the control head and are grounds when buttons are pressed...
Yellow/blue - defrost.
Yellow - heat/defrost.
Yellow/red - vents.
Green/yellow - Bi-Level.
Blue/white - heat.
Test the above leads for a ground when button pressed, test at the mode control motor plug. 94

Re: Climate control buttons don't work???
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. Fixed it!! The problem was the circuit board. The solder gave out at each point where the green plug connected. I could wiggle it up and down and see the breaks in the solder. Fixed it with an iron and some solder. Warm feet
