Which Clifford Alarm???
Well I have been trying to decide on which alarm, I am stuck between the Clifford Intelligaurd 850 or the Clifford Avantgaurd 5. I know there are differences between the 2, the G5 has a Tilt an back up siren which the 850 does not. Has anyone had experienced either of these alarms an is it worth it to have those extra 2 sensors??

America's a big country. I almost never see the same car each day driving in NY. Its not just an alarm but also how and where its installed.
Dont live in fear dude. There's easier ways to take a car without even dealing with an alarm. If its gonna happen, it will.

It depends what you're looking for. The install makes a huge difference, more so IMO than which specific alarm is used. If you like remote start, get remote start. Besides that, a hidden backup battery (about the size of a deck of cards) and / or motion sensor are good options. I think the Clifford 2.5 or 3.5 are good alarms, beyond that its mostly bells and whistles. If you aren't lazy, the lock for your clutch / brake pedal is a good anti theft device. Just don't tell anyone anything about your car. Good luck. btw I'm an installer if it makes a difference.

you prolly heard that if someone wants your car...then they'll get it by any means--
Each level of security will decrease the chance of getting your car broken into or stolen.
Alarm. lo jack, hood rewire, fuel cutoff, etc etc
The more time a theif has to take the greater chance that he will either give up or someone will see him.
Also--try posting this in the the other forum

Clifford now has a GPS unit much like that of onstar. And very similar to lojack. You can pinpoint the location of your car via the internet and also have it work with your alarm. Another feature i know of is remotely unlocking your car if you locked your keyes inside.
They systems retail for like 799.99 installed and IMO is a good investment. They have a detailed descrition on their site. (Clifford.com)I know we have them at Good Guys. So i assume they are available at most car audio shops. HTH
