Default Clicking in head (not valve lash)

I have a 91 integra with a b18a1 and since friday Ive been noticing a pretty loud clicking/ticking from what sounds like my valve train but its kind of sporadic. Like it will be clicking and then maybe miss a beat here or there. (Example: Click,click,click,click...click,click,click,...,cl ick, click) Not sure if that's easy to understand. I checked all the valve clearances this morning with it cold and they were all fine. Kind of sounds like its more toward the back of the motor.
I'm completely stumped on this one so just wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows what it might be.

Do injectors tick loud though? because this is kind of loud. Its loud enough to where i can hear it while driving in low rpms. Also, usually when i first start it up after its been sitting a while there is no tick but after a couple minutes the ticking comes back. I'll check the pcv tonight and report back.
Any other ideas. Thanks for the responses so far.

Ya pretty positive I can hear the valves when I put my ear to the head but there is also another different kind of ticking coming from the right corner of the head / possibly fuel rail? Its not the pcv. And it doesn't happen on first startup. It idles rough for a few minutes then as it clears up is when the ticking starts.

you sure it's the head? Something similar was happening with my motor and it ended up being rod knock. Id pull off that pan and check for metal shavings to be safe.

Well it was ticking since friday and I did the oil pan gasket saturday due to leaking. There was a really small amount of metal but nothing substantial.

i had the same noise it would come and go it was in my head it was the rocker it fell out and it was because the bolt with the cup that held the rocker in stripped out dont know how but it started knocking ....thought was a rod knock at first but really if you heard a rod knock you would know it was a rod knock so anyways my cars started seeming really slow ripped it apart for a wire tuck anyways so thought i would rip off the valve cover and guess what a rocker arm and rocker arm bolt sitting next to cyl. 1 under the cam hahahah sorry for the babbbblleeleleing iam drunk but true story if you need pics let me know .... iam not sure how you would check if your rocker arm bolt thing is loose .... until it falls out take it to 8700 rpms like i did iam sure it will pop right out trouble shoot over by the way it will seem slow when it falls out 15 valves

Bump for lunch. Ill check the rockers again after work but the valvetrain looked mint. Its almost like its coming from the fuel rail/injectors but its loud? I can hear the valvetrain ticking quiet but also this. Any thoughts?

Put a screwdriver on em and listened. It sounded just like in one of the injectors but I unplugged all the injector clips one at a time n the click was still there. Also this click isn't like a smooth tick, if that makes sense. It kinda skips around a little n misses a tick here and there. That make any sense?

Will check that tomorrow but seems like its coming from the drivers side of the engine.

Bump for more opinions. On my drive to work I can hear it at low rpms and on onramps echoing off the barrier. It seems to be worse when barely on the throttle but that could just be because my exhaust is too loud that I can't hear it at high rpms/throttle.

It seems to get loud around 2500 rpms. If I keep it barely on the throttle I don't hear anything but if I push the pedal down it starts clicking. Also it seems like it stops when I let off the gas. Need help here I'm driving it daily to work and I'd like to find the problem
