Check Engine Light goes off after fixing? *P1457 code*
I have P1457 check engine code. It's the EVAP system leak detected.
It's not the gas cap (already got that checked).
My question is since there are soo many variable parts that can be wrong with this code.
If I replace that faulty part, will the code go out? Assuming it's on before changing the faulty part of course.
Thanks!

After you replace whatever part you do, then you reset the ecu. If the CEL doesnt come on again, problem solved.

dogg my **** too. and i posted just no one responded to my **** man. i got a 99 gsr and my **** threw that code too. I know its the evap but i dont know what to fix. I think its the sensor on the top of the intake manifold. i wonder if obd1 will read the evap? Also my idle chills at 2k during warm up and then drops to 1500 and stays at that. Then if iwere to shut off the car my idle is chillin at 750. Is it all the same **** o wat?
