Default Changing Tranmission Fluid

Hi all
I have an 95 SE Integra with auto transmission and the tranny fluild have the burning smell... Just want to know if any one ever changed their tranny fluid.. is it hard to do? How many quarts of fluid do I need and any recommended type? Thanks..

2.2 qts...I prefer pennzoil synchromesh

its very easy to do just drain and fill. buy 3 quarts and just measure it while putting the third quart

3/8 torque wrench. there is a drain bolt near the bottom of the tranny

might wanna do the tranmission filter too, you'll have to drop the pan though

You know...as long as Ive had my car...and as many times as Ive dropped the tranny...I never knew of a transmission filter on the integra..More importantly...one that would only be accessible through the oil pan...Thats some bad engineering by Honda to say the least.... [/end sarcasm]

How many people who replied actually read that he has an automatic transmission? Use Honda ATF in the amount of 2.9 qt. at a fluid change. Penzoil Synchromesh is for a manual transmission only. The ATF swap procedure can be found in the Helm manual. Search google for "hondahookup manuals". You simply drain the fluid and refill using the dipstick as an indicator.
