I got an alignment for my teg 3 times, within 6 months. Everytime I got it aligned, the alignment was off. I now suspect that it is the front left caliper that is getting stuck. The car drifts only at highway speeds, and I really unsure of the real reason. I want to inspect the front driver-side caliper. How do I check to see if it is stuck or not?

how many miles are on the car? the tie rod ends may be played

my car pulls to the right and I figure it was my tires because I was running 3 195/r14 and one 185/r14 tires, two in which the tread patter were the same and the other two which was different and it was causing a tire pull.I got an aliment and it still pull to the right so I slap on my aftermarket rim with all the same tires/tread pattern.It went straight so I figure it was my tires.Before I did this, I swap all the tires (the rims that were pulling to the right) around in all possible combination and it all still pull to the right.So my advice that only requires labor is to borrow another set of rims (or if you have any other rims) and slap them on to see if it still pull to the left.If so then it is not the rims/tires.

If your car is lowered I suggest getting a camber kit. Without a camber kit you can never truly get your alignment perfect, that is if your car is lowered.

do you know if the car has ever been in a front end collision it could also be a ball joint

if you open the caliper bleeder and it is really hard to push the piston in that it is stuck

I have about 79k on the car.

The car is bone stock, and carfax shows no major front end collisions, but there could have been a small fender bender with the previous owner. I just got a new set of tires, and my car was doing this even with the old tires. Is there a way for me to check if my ball joints are messed up or if my tie rod ends are bent?

check your front lower control arm bushings.

if you jack up the car on that side and just grab the wheel and start trying to move it should not have any movement in it

i dnt know how to put up a post or anything yet. first day here. my car has a camber kit and i just aligned it. i chnged to diff rims w good tires n still pulls hard to the right everytime i gas it. car rolls straight when i let it roll and when i brake. motor mounts feel pretty solid and even have a engine damper on too. only pulls when i gas it. help please. goin to time it in october and times tickin. replaced the r front lower control arm w a used one and still pulls. dnt know wat else. ordered some energys suspension bushings today. hoping thatll do the trick. if not, then imma die w my car. im goin crazy bec i cant find the prob.

if your caliper is stuck then your inboard brake pad would be significantly lower than your outboard pad , i bet it has to do with your tires, i work at a dealership and we see alot of cases of this ,

post up the alignment before/after measurements you got from the shop that did the work.
start there.

to check for a stuck caliper, jack up the front of the car and spin the wheels by hand. if one wheel is a lot harder to spin than the other then it's probably the caliper. i had my front right caliper get stuck in my 99 gsr, the car would wander all over the place when braking hard. i thought it was a bad alignment at first and had it checked out at les schwab, they're the ones that suggested looking into the caliper.

thnx alot for all of ur inputs. i ordered a energy suspension front lower control arm bushing kit from ebay. it was 51 bucks shipped. i installed it all weekend and now the car stopped pulling. still havent had my alignment redone yet but i will on sunday. but so far so good. car rides like a dream. hoping to roll as straight as possible so that maybe i can hit 14.7 or maybe even 14.6 at the track stock motor w bolt ons and stock ecu too. wish me luck pple.
