Default can you help me figure out my problem? *vid clip*

i have a G3 automatic sedan. here are a couple clips of the car in park. in the clip, i am shifting from park - reverse - neutral - drive and back to park. im pretty sure the engine isnt suppose to jerk that bad. this happens when the engine is cold and when it is warmed up.

im trying to determine if it is the motor or transmission mounts. im not familiar with this sort of thing, so i dont know what a bad mount looks like. i dont know where the transmission mounts are located either. can someone help?

thanks.

chekc the torque mounts in the front. they might be torn. you gotta get under the car and remove the splashguerd to see them. thers one on the tranny side and one on the driver side.

its not supposed to jerk like that..
are you racing the car with auto tranny and downshifting?
does it take a while to catch into gear?
how is the tranny fluid level?

simple test if its the mounts. one in front by radiator another behind
near the oil filter to the right.

place car in neutral and pull the handbrake.

now pull the engine by the valve cover then push away
if the engine moves that means the mounts are bad
but if the whole car moves as soon as you pull they are OK

no i dont race. when i first had the car, i did a lot of spirited driving. the tranny catches the gears just fine, theres a slight delay, but i think thats with all honda automatic trannies.

i will try that test tomorrow and post results. thanks

ok, i just tried the pull and push method. i placed the car in neutral and pulled the Ebrake. i pushed and pulled on the valve cover, but the engine doesnt move. i also peeled back the rubber on the mount near the cam gears, and they look ok to me. they arent cracked or anything.

so does this mean that it is my tranny mounts?
