there is a rattling noise kind of loud goes away alot when warmed up what can this be valve adjustment maybe or coudl water pump going bad cause that? doenst leak or over at all though any helpp is appreciated

Yeah sounds like a valve adjustment. If a water pump were to make a loud rattling noise it would make it all the time. Inorder for a water pump to be making that kinda noise the bushing would be shot. Inturn leaking out the weep hole. The tapping in the had goes away when its warmed up b/c the valve train gets hot when the engine is warmed. Thus the metal expands taking up the excessive clearance. All in all quieting the noise.

i have the same problem when my ls is cold it sounds like theres tin cans rattling under my hood but once it warms up it sounds fine!
