Can I use Lucas Oil stabilizer with 10w-30???
I bought some Lucas full synthetic oil stabilizer. I also bought 10w-30 oil, a little thicker to stop from oil burning. The Lucas stabilizer calls for 5w-30 for import and domestic cars. Is it going to ruin the effects of the stabilizer or make things worse if I use the 10w-30? If in fact I can use the oil. How much oil stabilizer should I use? I heard running the whole quart is a little to much. What is recommended??

Some light reading. And some very good information.
Both 10w30 and 5w30 are 30 weights at operating temperature. If you're worried about burning, go up to 10w40 or (yikes!) 20w50.
I ran some Lucas stabilizer for many years with an old Dakota that was burning/leaking just a smidge. I think it slowed down, and didn't have any bad side effects. It may be snake oil, but it was neutral snake oil.
Edit: Holy cow! I've been reading the link, and it's challenging everything I learned as "conventional wisdom" working at a parts store.

Yes, oil is vastly misunderstood. BITOG is a good forum, but it's easy to get sucked into fads when you're on there. Every time a new thing comes out, oil nerds tout it as the best thing EVER TO HAPPEN. Months later, it's "meh" at best.
Good info on the site if you have a good BS filter built into your reading/comprehension skillz. Facts are usually solid.
