Cool man. What semester you in? I'm piling up parts mostly because school owns me right now. I hope to get this running with turbo for battle of the imports show Automotion weekend in the Dells

Finished the header finally.
3" stainless all the way back. V band in both ends
Had to move the support up about 1.5" for the intercooler to clear the bottom of the bumper. Crooked *** cut
With the cover on
Vibrant filter and tensioner.

Re: Byron's Official DC2 Build Thread
Got it running today. 1000cc injectors were dumping fuel even after setting up the fuel comp in s300. Swapped them out for stock 240's solved the problem. Going to have to send them out to be refurbished. Anyone know a good place?
Only running about 7psi on a rough tune and this thing is a blast to drive! Not too much power wise so room for some improvement. Still a blast to drive! I had the solenoid open/closed option backwards so boost by gear wasn't working yet. So basically sorting out some small things yet.

Cool!
It must be nice having one actually working.
Hope you get that fuel issue work-out. What HP target are you shooting for?

Damn you do some awesome body work. Wanna be my friend? lol. I've never even attempted body work, but definately need to learn how one of these days.
What tubular manifold is that? the runner design is deffinately different than the norm.

Yeah about time! I'm shooting for about 400hp. Or whatever 20-25psi gets me. That's a pretty sweet spot on this compressor map from the math I did.
It's a hand made one I designed. It's got the similar runner design to the full race bottom mount twin scroll but with a t3 flange instead of the t4. Spools that turbo pretty quick I think. I'm seeing boost by 3600 rpm. I have 14psi by 4000 rpm.

Can't figure out vtec. Verified all wiring. Checked pressure at head port when solenoid opens. Oilpan is not dented. Even took the head apart and replaced the pins and o-rings underneath the cam caps. No cel

I don't believe that debate is ever going to be "settled". I'm thinking about either Golden Eagle (California) or Howard's Hot rods (Texas). If I go to plan B I'll have him build the short block as I'm spending alot of time on developing a couple post-retirement business’s.

Re: Byron's Official DC2 Build Thread
I heard a lot of good things about Benson. I just set the other one aside in favor of a block that hasn't been line honed. Guess I'd probably let it go cheap for the arp mains or a core to sleeve. Here's my current FS thread http://m.hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=3205183&styleid=19

Re: Byron's Official DC2 Build Thread
A little update guys. While I had the motor out, decided to do a shave and tuck.
First time shooting kandy
After a few days for the clear to harden, I wet sanded and cut and buffed it.
I ran stainless hard lines to steel bulkhead fittings for the brake tuck.

Re: Byron's Official DC2 Build Thread
Back from the dead!!!
MR2 EHPS using the INTEGRA ABS BOX. There are some articles out there about using the Prelude ABS box, but the Integra one was different.
Peaceable was kind enough to sell me the EHPS for a good deal. I opted to hide it behind the fender which requires deleting the windshield washer reservoir.
This requires notching the housing to get enough clearance for it to tuck up in there. Not fully mounted yet.
I used a 40A relay to send power to the Integra ABS fusebox.
This is the wiring diagram for the fusebox. As you can see, the 40A relay is switched with the YLW/RD and GRN/WHT wires that share the same plug as the large white wire. The other two pull power off WHT/GRN and BRN/YLW for your 7.5A fused circuits. You can put 7.5A fuses in the box for that.

Re: Byron's Official DC2 Build Thread
I've had the ITR lip, skirts, and canards for a couple seasons now. I want to do hand fab flares this summer for the rear because I don't like the poke with the 8" wide wheels. I had to raise it up to the top perches on the Koni's and even then it still rubs sometimes.
I LOVE this p/s swap.. the car is actually enjoyable to drive now. Thing rips **** on only 10psi. Getting like 20mpg on E85 with lots of pulls. Also I highly recommend the ID injectors. The car idles beautifully. Looking forward to get the ground speed BBG hooked up this summer.
The exhaust isn't quite the tone I'm looking for though, I have a 3" Jones can in back and it's too deep and a little on the quiet side. I ran a 3" dump and it was a LOT of fun, but not refined enough sound for my liking. Need to find a nice balance between mild and wild.
