Brake lights and reverse lights wont come on need help
i have a 96 gsr and about 6 months ago i did the wiper delete so i took out the wiper motor and clipped the wires to the motor and wrapped them in electrical tape bc someone told me that would be fine now i realize my 3rd brake light comes on that is located on the oem wing but the brake lights on my taillights dont get bright and my reverse lights dont come on so i took out the bulbs and all of them are good and i checked my fuses and all of them are good that i see... does anyone know if clipping the wires to my wiper motor has anything to do with my brake lights and or reverse lights??? has anyone had similar problems???

The rear wiper motor has 4 leads green/black, black, light green/black and green.
Cutting any of those leads will have no effect on brake and back-up lights.
Back-up light wire is green/black and brake light wire is green/white, make sure thse wires are not the ones cut. 94

Not what I said, I said regarding the leads for the rear wiper, "Cutting any of those leads will have no effect on brake and back-up lights".
Check your rear harness plug up by the drives kick panel, sounds like it may be loose or corroded.
The no brake light problem may also be the brake light switch going bad.
The no back up light problem may also be a bad reverse light switch.
I would also check the ground for the tail lights, however I do not beleave it is your problem as the tail lights work. 94
