both locks dont work?!?!?
so i come outside the other day and my key wont go into the drivers side door lock. ok thats cool, its just frozen right? wrong, i got anti freeze stuff anf still nothing. so i figure i would just lock the passenger side door and open it from that what, but wait, cant do that either, the key wont go into that one either. so i ask, what the hell is going on and how would i go around unsticking(frezzing, whatever) a door lock.

Vandalism? Especially if the key will not enter the lock at all. Have you tried to enter via the hatck or trunk?

It could be vandalism if someone injected glue into your locks. Hopefully that is not the case.
Can you put the car in a heated garage? If the lock mechanisms become free, inject some graphite into them to prevent future issues.

i have no access to a heated garage or anything like that. the best i could do is a hair dryer or hot water, and thats with all kidding aside. its only raining today so i thought it would unfreeze if the cold is what did it. is there anyway to check and see if its glue?

The hair dryer is a reasonable option. You could also heat the key with a lighter and try to insert it. If you cannot free the mechanism, there could be an obstruction (glue). The only reason that I mentioned vandalism is that both locks have the same problem. I assume that you do not have an alarm and use the key routinely.

yea, i mean i've had this car for 2 years now, 2 winters, never had a problem with iced locks or anything. i use it everyday. both stop working on the same day? pretty big coincidence. is there any concrete way to know if it was glue though? would heating it up do anything for it? see if it is the glue, i know who did it, and they are in for a world of hurt, i just wanna be able to prove it

I'm having the same problem -- the key won't enter all the way, and when it does it won't turn. It started once it got below freezing... Tried antifreeze, won't work either.

Try the heated key first. You may need to heat and reinsert a few times if it is frozen. If it is glue, you would be able to tell when the lock cylinders are replaced or rebuilt. Heat will not help with glue.

yea the heated key didnt work, i just used the entire contents of a torch lighter and neither side did anything. i can probably replace the lock mechanisms myself but do you know anywhere i could get some replacement locks cheap. i mean cheap, i am beyond broke right now

i dont think i can open my car from the trunk key hole. do you just hold it to the right and the other doors open too? i didnt think that would work.

You can remove the lock cylinders and soak them in acetone. You can also try super glue remover.
