Default BG 44K fuel additive, any experience with it?

I've heard that this fuel system additive called 44K by a company named BG is "the ****". Supposedly it helps burn off carbon deposits and such, a lot like Seafoam....but it's a lot safer to use.

Does anyone have any experience with it? It's a bit pricey since you can't get it in the states.

(note that this is not a fuel system cleaner like you would buy at Pep Girls)

One BG 44K service kit, everything needed at 15,000 mile service intervals.

The BG Total Deposit Control program is a comprehensive approach to engine maintenance arguing that complete cleanliness and wear-free components will maintain the gas-mileage, performance and emission standard of a new engine.

1 can of BG 44k injector cleaner.

Power enhancer quickly and effectively cleans complete fuel systems and injectors. Removes carbon buildup from valves and other critical engine components.

1 can of BG MOA engine oil treatment.

BG Advanced Formula MOA prevents oxidation and thickening of engine oil under even the most severe stop-and-go, high temperature driving conditions. It fortifies high quality engine oil to provide superior long-lasting engine protection and help maintain optimum engine performance. BG Advanced Formula MOA keeps ring lands, hydraulic lifters and other engine components clean to help extend engine life and reduce costs of operation.

1 can of BG Transmission conditioner.

Improves shifting characteristics, prolongs fluid life & prevents deposit formation, keeps seals soft & pliable, prevents leaks, improves fluid oxidation stability.

BG products are amazing. I use everything they have. 44K is great to clean out your fuel lines and injectors. MOA is great in the oil and makes the life of the engine longer. Next time I change my tranny fluid I'm going to use their Syncroshift for manuals. The additive for the cooling system is great, and so is the additive for the Autos. There is also some stuff that you hook right up to the fuel rail and run the car off of for like 20 min without any gas and smoothed my idle right out. I couldn't be happier with BG products. I recommend them to anyone.

You can buy BG from Acura/Honda dealers or Napa Auto Parts. I know you can get it somewhere else because we have more products at the shop that I work at. I'll find out where we get it.

Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that it isn't available in the States. My dealer certainly doesn't advertise if they carry it.

Hmmm...The Honda/Acura dealer I go recommends it very highly. They have the info at the parts desk and have it in their display case.

Yeah. Honda and Napa sell the 44K stuff alone for about $20. $30 definately not bad.

I really have no interest in the oil stabilizer and tranny fluid additive. The 44k engine cleaner is what I want most.

I'll check my local NAPA and see if they have any in stock.
