Best Tire Size for Stock 15" Wheels
I need to get some new tires soon and was wondering what the best tire size I should get? My GSR's come stock with 195/55/15 but I've read about people using 195/50/15, 205/50/15, and 205/55/15. Which would be the best tire for daily driving?

If you're on stock rims, stick with 195's. 205's will result in sloppier handling. I'm on Rota's (15x6.5) with 205/50/15's and it feels really sloppy around corners. Unless you get a tire with stiff sidewalls, like the Azenies, I'd recommend 195's.

I totally agree. I had 205-50 before and the steering response was horrible. Now, I'm back to 195/55 and it feels great again.

what the hell does body roll have to do with tire size?

With stock rims (or rims with the same width), I think you should stick with the stock size, 195/55. The other qualities of the tires (tread compound, tread design, sidewall construction, etc.) are much more important than slight increase in width would ever make. Get some quality tires and stop worrying about size.

Thanks for the input guys... seem like its either 195/55/15 or 205/50/15. I'm leaning towards getting the 195/55/15. Car has stock itr springs and struts. Would this chanage any of your opinions?

FYI, your car does not have struts. RSX's have struts in the front and shocks in the rear. Also go with some high quility 195/55/15 tire's, you'll be happy.

I also have ITR spring and ITR front shock. Do you really have ITR rear shock? since you'll need to replace the rear LCA in order to make it fit.
Anyway, I had tried all 4 combination of (205/50 or 195/55) + (ITR spring/front shock or GSR spring/front shock). I clearly prefer 195/55.
If you have to wonder more. ITR comes stock with 195/55 as well. Same for all JDM ITR that had 15" wheels.

Re: Best Tire Size for Stock 15" Wheels (RedGSR)
Thanks, guys. It looks as if I'm gonna go with the 195/55/15's.
RedGSR, yes I do have the ITR rear shocks and LCA's.
