B_Swapped's 2nd integra build

Re: B_Swapped's 2nd integra build
I don't even own an integra, but I find this build interesting. Keep up the good work!
I'm sure you've noticed the cracked endlink bushings hahah. Funny how something so simple always gets neglected by the previous owner.

Thanks man, always love doing these threads for ppl to see.
Thank you . ohh yah ALL the bushings need to be replaced I'm no stranger to it, it's huge pain to do I'm still deciding on bushings or to go with spherical bearings. lots of little unfinished thing but nothing too bad yet, have yet to rip apart the engine block.
Thanks man! I'm thankful for that fact, especially with the CRAZY Honda theft around the GTA lately. NSX's and S2K's getting stolen.. I moved mine back up north at that point.

Re: B_Swapped's 2nd integra build
Cleaned the majority of the bay save from the firewall, taped it all off too as not to nick the paint when the block goes back in. An unsettling discovery...the block is stamped P72, the pistons and everything else is ITR/P73 but the block says p72. Also the cylinder has some nasty scratches that my nail easily catches, my thought is some kid took a jdm gsr and threw P73's in it and got the rest of the ITR stuff. Maybe I'm wrong about that but the scrapes and now rust on the cylinder walls remain, yes I can remove the pistons and go 9:1 at 82mm but that's more money and time down. I was hoping to not have to touch the block this year. Either way I'm still continuing as planned the car might just be done a bit later then I thought, I'm still sanding rust spots on the suspension components and painting the cross member and rack area are looking good now. Removed the heater system as I never need heat in my summer cars, also ditched the power steering I might just make my own loop system. No parts this week kinda sucks but ohh well I sold a few things so have some extra for my misc items.
lots of Magic erasers and brake clean and I've got all but the firewall clean, the tape is to prevent dirt from getting on it or the paint getting chipped.
Got the P/S out and the top part of the cross member painted looks pretty good to me, bad picture lighting tho(it's glossy not matte).
Rear mount out and of course cracked to ****, it broke when I dropped it on the floor, still not as bad as the white tegs rear mount...all that was left was the bushing sleeve
I seriously hope all JDM GSR/ITR blocks are stamped p72 and mine isn't a thown together ITR
P73 pistons but man there are some serious gashes in the cylinder and I guess the oil came off when I used brake clean thus exposing the bare metal. I was extremely careful NOT to have stuff fall in the cylinder when I turned it by hand.
Despite that I got the oil pan off going to take a better look into this block in the next few days...time is the biggest item of shortage in this build sadly.

Re: B_Swapped's 2nd integra build
Grabbed a few parts today and ordered a Tial 44mm wastegate in blue , had a better look at the cylinders...turns out it was just gummed up dirt/rust. I think that brake parts cleaner wears down some thing worse then others. So no need for internal work which may still end up happening but not right now, I need to put some money into suspension new F/R upper control arms aka camber kit. And definitely WHEELS!! I have my eye on some CCW LM-20's 16x8.5 black lip chrome face, tires i'll be running NT01's or ADO8R's 225 most likely. Yes the huge Voltex wing is back in my head again I think I can make it work with the silver and big beefy track tires..
My weekly trip to Teknotik, grabbed a few little things forgot the head gasket but I can grab that when my ramhorn manifold comes in mid this coming week. My 74mm throttle body did come in however looks pretty nice on the manifold
ARP head stud install time, had some trouble with the one closest to the front/#1 cylinder.
All in, it just dawned on my I have no clue what I'm going to do with the dip stick and getting around the manifold/turbo. Saw an EG with the pretty much same set up when I was at Teknotik, so I kind of got to see what mine will look like which I'm pretty excited for.
Wasn't planning on this but was unloading the civic and my drill still had a wire brush, so I figured I'd see if I could clear up the stamp a bit...it worked great! if I have time I might wire brush the whole block like this.
Had a better look a the cylinder issues, it just turned out to be gummed up dirt and rust from the brake parts cleaner. I over reacted in shot lol, what I di is pour some engine oil in each cyl and spin the crank a few times and sure enough it came off.
Moving my way to the rear of the car for final rust proofing and undercoat redoing the quarter areas just to be safe.
Here's the wheels I'm eyeing up CCW LM20'S in 16x8.5 guy wants $2.6K they come with tires i'll debate this a bit more, of all the wheels out there I absolutely LOVE the CCW lm-20's/"classics" my next choice is regamasters...

Nice choice! I have the BWR package with their ramhorn with 38mm WG, downpipe and dumptube. Quality is great for the price. My car is finally almost boosted (after a year of planning). I have some pics of it on my build thread.

Yeah that would be a good start. You can make a catch can and a dumptube (if you didnt already buy one). I want to get a nice welder but havent gotten one because of the price. Someday.

Re: B_Swapped's 2nd integra build
Slow Sunday just messing around with it getting a few bits finished here and there, got the throttle body on need to get some sensors tho and figure out what I'm going to do PCV wise. Got the last 2 cans of paint stripper and blasted the VC it worked alot better then I thought, now to decide what to paint it probs candy blue to match the WG/BOV. Did some more sanding going to use primer and do several coats, as all I did last time was sand and then do 1 quick coat.
74mm throttle body on, had to adjust the butterfly stop screw as like ppl say they DO stick. Buts such a simple fix who cares.. will most likely have a high idle again tho.
Forgot that the coolant ports had to go on before you bolt down the manifold, you really have to hammer them in there.
Horribly painted VC getting soaked in paint stripper, BE CARFUL when you use this stuff it eats through gloves fast and really burns for a few mins once it hits your skin.
May be a unique to "Canadian tire" brand but if not I recommend it to anyone looking for a fast and heavy duty solvent
All I had to do was take a little wire brush tooth brush to it and his is the result, 2 cans later but I think I was a bit to heavy on the spray at first so I'm sure 1 can could have done it. I do need to power wash it to get all the little bits out from the cracks but the top part is all nice and clean.
Decided to do my own p/s loop as it just seemed easier
Hose clamp on both ends and we're set it on there good

I just recently started coming back onto h-t. Usually only when I start working on my car again I get back into h-t lol. But I really don't look at many threads, but I always check on yours.

They would look so sick with on a silver car. And everything else in the build looks like it's coming along great!

Yeah bro what the heck ken aka dirtyda9!!, Get on my thread it's not much but soon it will be , glad you okay mi hermano!!!. Nice build thread B_swapped . You earned my respect because you decided to go b series boost instead of K me personally I don't like K and you building a 98 RS too :O looking like a jdm itr but I love my round light frontend more ♡ . I agree with that dude from the 1st page that I like the integra with no spoiler a lil more ,reason why I won't make holes in my 98 RS' s original trunk. BWR manifolds and turbo parts are good quality for their price. 44mm v-band can't wait to see when you mock it up on the engine stand. What turbo you deciding 2 get bruh!?. Those blue te37s would look nice with the VSM. Btw see you positive you got WAY least rust to remove then me man .

Re: B_Swapped's 2nd integra build
Well some actual turbo parts came in Friday night!!, got my ramhorn finally and a tial MVR(44mm WG). Was also given a Teknotik t-shirt which was pretty awesome! picked up a can of POR-15 from what I understand this is some serious anti rust stuff. Going to get the inside quarter panels with it and when I do the lower suspension i'll make sure to coat the **** out of it.
Weekly trip yield, I'm pretty happy with the manifold looks pretty well made and definitely solid!. The blue looks great going to try and get the anodized blue hasport mounts and a blue tial BOV to match, also going to try and match the VC.
Close up of the Tial MVR, i'll have to figure out how all the lines are routed
Figure some may like a close up pic, I'm satisfied this will surly support my "stock block" power goal. If I had to do it again I wold have shelled out for a Sheepey built one I just didn't want to wait a month or more.
Solid looking flange, I think i'll need longer studs tho BWR sells those tho so no worries if I do. There looks to be a little barb on the top flange area...i'll file that down.
This is probably over kill, considering I won't drive the car in the rain or after its just freshly rained...yah I'm that picky. I'll be using this on some of the notorious rust sports or places that will see potential moisture and the suspension parts, it's pretty damn expensive tho that can was $80. In relative to the $6-10 cans I've been buying previous to this but like I said I'm not about to cheap out on this car.
Big thanks to Eric at Teknotik for getting me all my parts, from gas tanks to turbo parts I always go here. If you live in the Toronto area this is THE place to go for Honda/Acura stuff. (back of the shirt)
I'm actually so excited to get the mounts and drop the engine back into the bay, still need a HG a clutch before I put it all back in. That stuff will be next
