Default B20 vs B18c1

What are the pros and cons right now? I can deal without vtec. I want more power. I am planning to build as well, so it wont be stock. I have seen people do this and i want to know how it would be vs my gsr motor in my hatch. I am thinking of turbo in the future or all motor in the future. Anyone got any opinions on this B20 vs B18c1 match-up?

Well the b20 has torque but if you got money definately go w/ the b18c. With boost or all motor its a great engine.

b20 Has more torque and lower compression so it would be good for turbo, I would go B20-turbo becuase u would be spending a lot less the b18c turbo, As for all motor- b20/vtec would be bad ***...Killing a GSR in price and performance. I am saving my pennies for B20b

http://www.importreview.com

I am going CRVTEC
here is what it is costing me

B20 shortblock-$600
B16 head-$250
JE pistons-$450
Probe Rods-$400
JDm PR3-$300
Machine work (bore cylinder head, balance bottom, port head etc)-$600
Hoses, gaskets, seals etc-$200
ITR cams-$400
Crower vlavetrain-$400
RC 310 injectors-$200 bought used

**** I am afraid to add this up, Turbo will be cheaper and more HP. I was planning on going turbo with this, until I took a ride in a 225 whp CRVTEC. The torque will shoot you off the line, and the VTEC will finish the rest starting at 4400 to 8500 (depending on ECU program)

sorry 2.0L guys but I like safely revving to 8K! with stock internals I think you need to swap a K20 in there now that would be impressive!!!!!
