Default b18c main bearing fitment wrong????

hey guys, i just sent in my block last week to the machine shop to get some new pistons, rings and bearings installed. they called me today and said the crank is frozen. meaning the bearings are too thick. Im running brand new OEM Honda bearings and im sure i got the correct codes for the proper color bearing for each journal. i triple checked everything and positive the colors are correct. is it possible for the bearings to actually be too thick even if i followed the crank and block codes correctly? i was also told it may not fit correctly even if you do follow the OEM codes due to crank wear so i would have to plastigauge all the bearings. But i would assume from crank wear, bearings should fit loose instead of too tight. Im not sure if the the shop is installing them in the wrong place or i need to buy smaller bearings. anyone have any suggestions? thanks

Yeah, make sure they're for the b18c1. My first set of bearings were for an ls, so they were too wide and they caused the crank to bind. Good luck mang

If they can't tell that the rod bearings were to wide before installing them you need to find another shop. The ls and gsr mains are the same spec.s

you can plastigauge the clearences and it cad be fine but they dont rotate the moter when they do it. so the clearance can be ok but that has nothing to do with the bearing being to wide for the journal
