Stuck in reverse

Stuck in reverse
Hoping someone might have some insight into this -
2001 integra w/ 98k, A/T. Wife pulled into driveway yesterday, tried to shift into park and got stuck in reverse. No noises, just stuck. Now I can't get it out of reverse. Driveway has slight grade - I tried rocking the car forward and then have her try to shift out, no luck. Any ideas?

Re: Stuck in reverse
Ditto the above, jack her up, USE JACK STANDS, and get under her and check all the linkage... http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal .94

Re: Stuck in reverse
However, stranger things have happened, if linkage looks OK, then I would pull the console and have a look at the shifter itself, even a coin dropped in there could jamb up the shifter, or maybe something broke. 94

Re: Stuck in reverse
I ended up pulling the console apart and lubing up everything I could, including the park lock/release mechanism. That seemed to do the trick for the time being. It's still a little stiff between park and reverse, but any gear shift after that is smooth.
