b18b no power
1996 Integra SE
168k
Stock
Idle is a little off but not bad
The problem is when i put the throttle at 100% it has no power. 50% to 100% is no different besides hearing the throttle plate open.
FP: 36psi idle
45ish Full throttle and with vacuum unpluged from regulater
Switchout out fuel pumps because i have one and no change
Switched out regulaters because i had one and no change
Clamped return line and it drove like it should
Checked airways and its clear
Airfilter is brand new

Re: b18b no power
5 spd
No I have not checked compression. Because it doesn't feel like the problem.
At cruising speed it's fine. When I get to a certain percentage of throttle it shutters.
Checked tps
1 wire was at 5
The other one was progressive to 5v depending on throttle with no dry spots.

Re: b18b no power
Well it wasnt a wet test and they all matched. Im not worried about the compression. 175 dry is good with me.
-_- you cant be serious about keeping it clamped... that puts a minimum of twice the pressure and makes the return line pop off with a hose clamp on it.
Anyways what ive done
New cap and rotor
Rebuilt fuel injectors.
New fuel filter
Swapped fuel pumps and regulator
Runs a bit better but it just acts like the cam is flat, no torque 2500-4500.

you may just be expecting too much, I didn't see that you checked mechanical timing.
you say it runs good on twice the fuel pressure??(line clapped will do that).

Checked the timing today. Marks are exactly where they need to be.
Full tune up
Every time I do something small get its a bit better. I'm comparing this to my 93 fwd sr20 that had 140hp stock and so does the b18b1. The other mechanics says it's flat. Recalibrating and cleanino today.

Re: b18b no power
So a p017x lean bank 1. Sorry forgot the last digit.
Lean..... no ****. Anyways changed out the upstream o2 today. i dont think there was a change but ill update tomorrow. Does anything i said correlating to the code pop any clues for anyone.
So it seems to drive fine at 50% throttle or less. Powers what it should be. You can feel it bog after a certain point and serge when letting off. Even though i didnt see any bad spots in the tps i might change it anyways. I calibrated it and nothing changed.

Re: b18b no power
Nope, we dont have a smoke tester here unfortunately yet. The lean is also at full throttle, so a vacuum leak is unlikly. I did check for a vacuum leak with brake clean. Nothing. Ill try the balance test on the injectors. It better not be them, i had them rebuilt last week.
