my new gs
i just bought a 2000 integra gs 2 weeks ago, and i have some minor stuff done to it already. but what im wondering is if this engine is really worth modding out, id like to eventually go turbo, but thats down the line...... think the gs engine would do the trick?
also would a type-r lsd fit my gs?

Re: my new gs (yeahright)
the gs is the same engine as a ls, rs, and se. B18B1 damn good engine to go turbo, i have a 2000 ls and have already started on my turbo project. As far as the itr LSD it will not fit the GS tranny, and can either get a after market LSD and slap it on, or the civic type r LSD will fit too.

As said by 00IntegrAllmotoR, your motor is the same as what we refer to as the "LS motor" or the B18B1. It's just as modifiable as any, just without the Vtec of the GSR (B18C).
It's great for turbo, as well as many other things. Do a search in the Integra forum, or forced induction forum for some suggestions.
A Type R LSD will not directly bolt into the LS transmission, however with some modifying, you can. The final drive of a USDM ITR is 4.400, the final drive of an LS is 4.266. You need to change the final drive of your transmission to match a 4.400 differential, AND to do that, you need to swap countershafts as well.
Sort of a complicated procedure if you haven't done tranny work before.
