Default Axle gap

Hi, im puttin my pass side axle in and ive been tryin to get rid of a gap between the tranny and the axle, its a tiny gap but it doesnt seem to budge. It normal or it has to go all the way until there is no gap?

The axle should sit pretty flush with the transmission. When an axle is fully inserted you would be able to tell the difference

You prob jammed p the pin on the axle, pull it back out and make sure its good.
If you keep just trying to jam it in its gonna be a **** getting it out later
