automatic tranny wont shift!!
97 integra gs with auto tranny and i've done a few tests to see if the tranny is good and it seems fine but it shifts hard and you have to floor it for it to down shift at all and let off the gas to shift into the next gear...not sure if the tranny needs to be rebuilt/changed or it just needs new fluid. it has 165k all stock. i'll try swapping the fluid first but has anyone else had this problem?

Re: automatic tranny wont shift!!
fluid lvl was my first thought..but then again I don't know much about AT. My auto trans class teacher was a joke.
But I guess check your fluids.

The fluid is on the passenger side on top of the abs module right? It's so hard to how much fluid it has but hopefully I'll be changing the fluid today anyway... Hopefully it doesn't get worse by putting new fluid in! Also doing ps flush, coolant flush and fresh motor oil. Should drive alittle better.
Coolant has stop leak in it from the last owner should I not mess with coolant flush or go ahead to get that crap out before it hurts the radiator and water pump?

Check and see level and condition.
Flush wand refill with Honda Premium AT fluid
These trannys are known to shift hard on any other fluid.
Also if you've been beating on it the seals are probaly shot, resulting in your symptoms. You can put lucas slip stop in but its bound to go
