Default Auto tranny problems on 99 Teg. Hard Shifting

My 99 teg has about 128k miles on it. The tranny shifts hard, meaning that you can feel a pronounced pull everytime it shifts a gear. My brother's 98 civic shifts much smoother than mine (they are both auto). His has 105k on it. Is mine shifting hard because that's how integra's are? Or is there something wrong with my tranny? I'm planning on draining my tranny fluid and replacing it with valvoline high mileage tranny fluid as well as adding lucas tranny addative. Is that a good step?

BTW, I have the records from the dealer and I know of the tranny fluid being changed at 100k. So it's due for a tranny fluid change. If my car remains shifting hard should I sell it, or is that how the auto integra's shift?

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your help.

Okay, could you tell me where to look for info about soleniods? I tried searching and can't find it. Are they cleanable? Anyone know anything about auto trannys? Should it be shifting hard on a 99? I know it has a 128k miles but they are mostly highway miles (same gear no shifting). Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

do the auto to mani conversion...Auto trannys are expensive to work on.

I'm broke though. Will tranny fluid help? What's up with the soleniod business?

solenoids should be in the front, where the tranny mounts to the block, 2 or 4 round objects, look like vtec solenoind

Okay, so what do I do with/to them? And can someone guide me in the right direction with the tranny fluid change? I've read not to flush it w/ 128k. Thanks.

doubtful that its the solenoids, i had the same problem with my 94. it was suggested that i do a tranny flush, so i did and it turned out the fluid was very bad, so i had it done again after about a month. much smoother now
