Auto Climate Control?
I just recently got my jdm front clip for my rhd conversion. The climate control that is in it I have not seen before. It has the temperature readings in celceus, and on the right side, it has an auto setting. Can anybody shed any light on what I got....thanks

Re: (scrooge)
It's just like you said. An automatic climate control. I believe these came in non Type-R Integras in Japan. With the auto mode enabled, the climate control will automatically keep the cabin set at the temperature selected with the slider. It will engage the A/C and heat if needed automatically to maintain the temp.
I think it's pretty F'n sweet...especially in an Integra...Auto climate controls are usually found in more expensive vehicles...especially during the time this generation was made. I'd love to have one, but i have no A/C so there really wouldn't be a point...

They are very common on new cars. It has to hook up to some type of thermometer obviously.

Yup, that's pretty much it.
There are two sensors, one inside the cabin and one just behind the front license plate area.
If you have the whole front clip, you can likely wire up the auto climate control. On your jdm clip, you should find a small ecu that controls the a/c system. The you have to figure out the wiring.
Also, the climate control system doesnt use cables to select the hot/cold like the US version - instead it is electronic. That means you'll have to transfer over the complete jdm airbox. However, the airbox will only fit if you are going right hand drive.
As you can tell, it's alot of work. If you just want the jdm look of the climate control, you can just remove the "face" off the jdm unit and install it on the US version. That way, it'll look like you have the climate control system but it'll still work like stock. That's what I did.

Well on newer ones yes...but back in 94-01...you didn't see to many on compact cars of this type here...
*edit*
Noticed the install notes were all explained above.

Re: (ericnoss)
can you take 2 pics? one of the bottom side airbox from the left, and one from the right from under the dash? I am curious to see if i can just swap over the sensors and such without swapping the airbox. i am interested, let me know. thanks!
