APexi WS2 axleback to stock catback?
Does anyone know if an apexi WS2 axle back can bolt up to a OEM cat back? I know the piping sizes are different, apexi is 2.36" and OEM is 2.0", but will the flanges line up on both ends? Any one tried this or have similar experiences? Thanks.

Yes It works fine. I have a stock header and CAT at the moment coupled to a full catback apexi ws2. And the sound? Great. Its deep and rumbles, but quiet, just a little louder than stock. Until you hit vtec that is. It roars. Definately a better low end feeling, but peeters out in the higher RPM's compared to my straight pipe haha. For a legit JDM look, and like 700 dollars, this is the exhaust setup for you!

I know it bolts up to stock cat, but I was asking about the axle back to the stock cat back. I'm not sure if the axle back can bolt up to the stock cat back..

Re: APexi WS2 axleback to stock catback?
From what I remember, apexi ws and greddy sp systems uses almost the same exact length cat back piping as OEM. The only difference is that the oem catback piping uses the bottle neck flange set up to connect the pipes together. I remember having a greddy and a apexi catback system and bolted on an OEM ITR axle back to both pipes, the only issue is that it doesn't line up properly and create a good seal since it requires different gaskets. If it doesnt have a good seal, you'll have a slight exhaust leak, but to answer your question, it should bolt up (just not perfectly).
The sound on the other hand, it'll sound a little louder than stock, but not loud enough to set off any car alarms. If you have engine work done, you'll hear the engine over the exhaust.
