anyone notice slightly swollen oil filters from their engines?
Last two filters have been slightly swollen when I checked. 1st oil filter: Fram unfortunately, It had an oil light that came on for a second and would slowly go out on a cold start. 2nd oil filter is a Mobil 1, no oil light ever came on but it was still slightly swollen. No oil filter gaskets ever blew.
I'm thinking high oil pressure and clogged or stuck oil pressure relief valve.
and I'm trying to not think that because of the time and/or money involved in replacing the oil pump.
