Another clutch/transmission issue
Hey everyone,
I have been searching this issue for a little while now, but I'm not sure if my clutch is just destroyed or not. Okay, so I was driving my DC the other day and when I downshifted into second whilst turning, I felt vibration from the clutch pedal and also from the shifter. I slipped it out of gear for a second then it went in and I kept driving. I thought it was just my CV's clicking.
Yesterday I was driving and I felt the same grind except I was feathering the clutch to move forward and I felt the same vibration. I decided it would be a good idea to take the car home, and on my way I tried shifting and it wouldn't go into gear. I had to rev up my RPM and it slid into gear. After that anytime I would have to shift, I have to rev up for it to go into gear (if it goes into gear at all).
Earlier today, I started it to see what was going on, and when I push in the clutch being in neutral there is this horrible almost grinding sound coming from the passenger side. I wanted to take it around the block to see if the pedal had too much play in it or something. I pushed the clutch in and it seemed as if it took a few seconds to actually engage. I changed the master cylinder in it a while ago, and I checked for any leaks and couldn't find any inside the car or in the engine bay. Fluid looks good, and the pedal still has good pressure on it. I'm thinking my clutch might be about to break apart or something, but I need a second and third opinion before I decide to rip it off. If anyone has any insight, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!
