Default Annoying Knocking/Clicking noise continues. Please help.

heres the scoop.

Knock your kunckles on the table, relitivly lightly, this is the noise. Happens at a speed about 3 times a second.

It occurs when im accelerating and does not change speed much, it occurs when I go up hills, and now it occurs very briefly when I stopping the car like 1 second before I come to a complete stop. It will go away if I take my foot off the gas, but does not go away when I am almost stopped with my foot of the gas. This is driving me completely insane.

Please help me, if anyone in the MD area may be able to help me with with please let me know. Ive had a mechanic change a lug stud, he took a look under there, said he didnt see anything unsusal from the axle and CV boot, he regreased the wheel bearings and all that (the noise occured a long time before these things were checked out, and still contiunes today.) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I use 93 octane. My entire engine was rebuilt, all new belts, hoses, ect. Maybe something is a little loose, Ill have to have it looked at.

Do you have any idea specifically where it is coming from?
-Engine bay
-Suspension area (front or rear)
-Brakes (front or rear)

You can probably eliminate the engine if you don't hear the noise while revving at a stand still, but the noise may only be induced by a load. See if you can figure out where the noise is actually coming from the car, and that will narrow a lot of the trouble-shooting for you. Feel free to check out you Helm's trouble-shooting guide if you already haven't.

It wont do it in neutral, or revving in neutral, but recently it does it when I am like 1 second away from a full stop, in gear or neutral, it doesnt matter.

maybe it needs a valve adjustment

Valves that are out of adjustment sound like a ticking noise, much like the second hand on a watch. I seriously doubt there is a knocking noise coming from the valve train.

Several things it COULD be, but might not be:
CV-joints
Engine knock
Something with the brakes (sounds unlikely though)
Or even something along the lines of a loose suspension bolt.

I'd have to hear it in person though. That could or could not be all of the solutions, but I'm not sure how accurately you interpret the sound, which means I don't know how accurately I can assess your discription. If you don't know how to fix it, or are afraid to snoop around yourself, just take it to a shop. Not sure what else to tell you.
