Aluminum on engine is off color.
The aluminum in my engine bay (head, distributer, tranny, block, ect...) is all off color. Its not rusted or anything, its just a brownish grayish, non clean looking color. What could have caused this? I want it to look like it did when it cam from the factory, nice shinny, and clean. Is there anything I can do?

A brillo pad is a steel wool pad impregnated with soap, used in the kithcen on stuck food.
I'd use a little bit of #0000 steel wool, pull off little pads and use them to get into the details.

I would use an engine degreaser.... but come to think of it... greased lightning is some strong stuff.... ya know those green rough pads often used in the kitchen for cleaning pots and pans? thinner than a sponge but usually larger in size... i don't think they are called brillo, but thats what i call them.
