ACT Prolite flywheel
I was wondering if having the ACT Prolite flywheel running with a stock clutch would damage either of the two? The flywheel weighs around 8lbs. My clutch is a stock replacement with around 12,000 miles on it. Thanks..

From my understanding the prolite drops revs very quickly. I have no experience with it though. Personally i chose the ACT streetlite, but i am not driving the car yet. Alot of people feel like the prolite is too light, although i could be wrong!
Good luck with it

I am running the prolite with an exedy racing clutch. Last time I had it apart everything looked great. After about a week you won't notice anything with the revs dropping more quickly either. The only time I notice it is at the track launching on slicks. I just launch about 1000 r's higher than I normally would. The car is daily driven about 50-100 miles per day also.

I think it should be fine, but while everythings apart i think you should get an aftermarket clutch. Save a little n buy both the flywheel and an aftermarket clutch, youll save money in the long run if you plan on modding the car which i assume you will. After blowing the stock clutch on my old crx and my current DA, i'll never race on a stock clutch ever again. BTW i have the ACT Streetlite and didnt really feel a dramatic change, i hear the prolite feels very nice so you should be happy with the prolite

Re: (lsVtec...)
I have the street lite, and I can barely tell a difference getting out of first gear. I would have gone with the pro-lite if I didn't have turbo plans in the future.

I have the act hdss with act prolite and the only problem i have is you have to shift a lil higher and have fancier foot work for it to drive smooth. Also if you let the car get below 1500 rpm in a low gear which is 2nd it makes a whining noise. my guess is because the flywheel was made to be in the higher rpm range since its lighter and you have to rev match now.
