why would an abs light mean no vtec....this is a dumb question. If you had problems with your vtec you would get a cel and it'd probably be code 21 or 22

Read that and it'll tell you why your abs light is on

Not necessarily.
As far as I know, ABS light should not affect VTEC.

unless the cel actually turns on, then vtec and your entire engine would be hindered, but ABS has nothing to do with his vtec, your brakes will just lock up

I dont have that many post here and this is a good reason why, there is always an ******* that needs to make his useless post (SpoonSirG). I know how to check the codes, Vtec is not kickin in and Im not sure why, the ABS light is on and wasnt sure if that was the cause or not. I just got the car and am trying to get one thing figured out at a time. thanks to everyone else

If light is on , u have no ABS... My ABS don't work either. ABS modeulator vibrates for about 15 secs, then light comes on in my dash.

Re: (phateless)
yes, the abs unit does have to be bled seperately, there is a bleeder valve right on top of the unit, be careful where you let the brake fluid shoot out cuz its not too good for paint.
