Default 96 gsr, 95 obd1 gsr motor, cel's

I didnt convert the motor to obd2, so it's running all obd1 componets, harness/injectors/alt. It threw 2 codes right from the get go 65 (secondary o2 heater) & 54 (CKF crank fluctuation sensor). The car starts and runs well, although it's got a few problems, when crusing above 25mph the idle, while in nuetral is anywheres from 1100-1400, and when braking under 10mph it's at a steady 1100. If it's at a complete stop it idles fine aroun 850 or so, with minor fluctuation up to 9xxrpm. Just recently I checked the codes again and came up with four more, 6/10/22/45. It's also running on a P73. Also my radiator fan doesnt come on, hasnt ever since the swap, I was looking at the schematics in the helms and a weird coencidence I noticed was that the radiator relay/wire runs almost on top of the ckp/ckf/cyp.

Hmmmmmm you don't want to run obd1? I was going to say just run jumper wire and those CEL will go away.

also for code #64, did you change out your oil pump to obd2? Because on obd1 the crank sensor is in the distributor, on obd2 they put it on the oil pump........unless #64 isn't the code.

Sounds like you dont want to dump that type r ecu. Personally i would just dump it but a p30 and tune it with hondata. it just be so much easier then converting the motor to an obd2

I guess I could consider getting a jumper harness and running the original obd1 p72, which would theoretically fool the chassis into operating as obd1, correct? And yes im famailair with the crank position sensor being in the dist. on obd1's and on the oid pump on obd2s.

It's a completely stock gsr motor, I dont wannt hassle with a chipped ecu at the moment, I'd like to get it running Engine light free with the R ecu if possible.

I guess worse comes to worste i'll convert it all to obd2...engine harness/injectors/ alt./ dist./oil pump Thanks for the help

Buy jumper wires from obd2a to obd1 and those codes will go away.
