Default 92 LS making grinding noise and has occasional jerking problem

Hello all, I bought this car roughly 4 months ago and have been driving it daily and for the most part have had no problems with it. However, there are two issues I am having trouble trying to find the solutions to and was hoping people could give me some good advice. Also, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure before I got it the car sat for quite some time, I'd say atleast a month or so

First off here is what I have done since owning it:
New air filter, fuel filter, plugs,
new alternator belt
car has no ac or ps
new oil and filter and new antifreeze
new stock exhaust
new pcv valve
I eliminated the vapor canister and solenoid system, I know I did that properly

Thats basically it. After owning the car for around 2 months, I began to notice a grinding noise coming from the engine compartment when accelerating. It's not very loud and does not seem to do it if the car is sitting still and you rev it up. I'm not sure but I think it might be a water pump and timing belt issue, I checked and the timing belt has been replaced with a napa belt at some point, the car has 160,000 miles on it as of now so it should be done now right?

The car accelerates fine but makes that noise when trying to gain speed, you can't hear it when cruising and the car is not loud as it has stock ehaust on it. Any ideas on that one?

For the second issue, every now and then when driving, if I let off the gas to slow down then go to accelerate again, the car will studder violently like its missing or not getting fuel or something then get itself together and go along fine again. It doesn't happen very often, and doesn't seem to matter how fast or what gear I'm going in. Could that be like a tune up issue? Could it be an injector getting stuck every now and then? I've ran injector cleaner through the car after I got it and always try to run atleast 89 octane in it.

I was hoping maybe someone has had these problems before and can point me in the next best direction so I can solve these two problems because other than these issues, the car is great!

My buddy's car did a similar thing, turns out, his left wheel had loose lug nuts.
Another buddy had a loose brake caliper braket. Try checking those things. If not, it also sounds like an axle might be going bad.

hmm, well the passenger axle does seem bad, it has a lot of play back and forth and looks tweaked at the boot where it goes into the tranny, I have another one already I just haven't put it in yet. Do you think that's more related to the jerking motion or the grinding noise?
