just pickd up a 2000 gsr
well i bought a 2000 gsr.The motor needs a rebuild so i made a parts list of what i need.I would like to see if im missing anything.So let me know if i forgot something.Everything is being built to oem spec i just want a smooth running car not looking to make any extra hp.
heres the list
water pump-bought
oil pump-bought
piston rings-bought
bearings mains and rod-still need
main seals-still need
head gasket kit-still need

It would be good to replace them just for piece of mind because when you loosen them and retighten them, they lose tensile strength. But they should be fine...

your installing piston rings, so the head is coming off, so you def need head studs, oe head studs are not reusable, they should only be torqued down once
so just get arp head studs, they are stronger and not anymore expensive
same goes for the rod bolts, not reusable, just buy new oem
and honda sells top end and bottom end gasket kits, get those, top end will come with the head gasket
also buy a new oe timing belt and oe tensioner
and while your at it, do a tune, plugs, wires, cap an rotor, fuel filter

yeah new timing belt i knew about and thanks for reminding me about the tensioner and for the tune up i will do just didnt think i need to include that on my list and what does the bottom end gasket come with? oil pan oil sump and the front and rear seals?
