I have a 91 crx with a 91 b18a1 motor and tranny, it wont go into fifth anymore, it just grinds. it doesnt seem like its going the whole way in. And I pretty much have to slam it into reverse to get it to go in. I tried puting it into fifth without the linkage on the tranny but it just grinds and wont go in. Could it be the gear oil that I'm running in it? Could the clutch cable or pedal be adjusted to make it work? I really don't have the time or money for a new tranny, any help is greatly appreciated.

it's a cable tranny try adjusting it. and what oil you using in it?

I tried adjusting the clutch cable and was able to get it into fifth and drive for a little bit until it popped out and I could get it back in, I forget what weight gear oil I used

you know your suppose to use engine oil in the old cable trannys right..
