Default 91 Integra oil light problem

B18b, 91 integra, The oil light has been coming on for the last couple weeks. The weird thing is that it comes on only at certain speeds, yesterday during the day it would be dim and then around 50mph be fully lit up, then at night it only would come on around 70mph. It stays dim a lot and then lights up only at certain speeds. The first time it ever came on I pulled over to make sure nothing was wrong and I still pull over a lot to check it. The oil level is fine and it seems like the engine is lubricated correctly. I have an old crappy sunpro oil pressure gauge that was previously installed by the guy who owned the car before me and its readings are just way off, I'm not sure if it was installed correctly but sometimes it reads that the oil pressure is down to 0psi, which seems unrealistic, as the car is running fine...It is still sketching me out, so I ordered a new oil pressure sender unit. Do you guys think its anything serious, or just a glitch?

Either the OPS, [oil pressure switch] is bad, or you have a problem with the ICU.

The OPS is either on or off there is no "dim" output unless it is bad.

Unplug it and see if you still get an oil light, dim or otherwise, if so the problem is the ICU.

Anything else not working properly, intermittent wipers, warning chimes, rear window defog? 94

I have intermittent wipers, I got the warning chime for when the key is in the ignition to work once or twice by wiggling my fuse panel since the ICU is behind it, but it stopped working. So chimes don't work, my rear defroster doesn't either, but the push button I have for it doesn't even click or light up so there's that.

Replace/repair the ICU.

Did you try unplugging the OPS yet? 94

It's been snowing so I finally got the chance to look at it and it seems like the oil pressure gauge is run directly into where the OPS is supposed to be and the OPS was removed...so that's confusing.

Wait what, you have an oil gauge and the OPS has been removed? 94

I have no idea, this is what I'm looking at, that line leads straight through the firewall to the oil pressure gauge and I've been looking at other peoples OPS setup and this looks a little different, it looks like the gauge was ran directly to where the OPS and its line would be? or is the gauge somehow screwed onto the OPS? I just want to remove the gauge and its line, and run it the sandwich plate way... and install the new OPS and somehow find the original line for it so that everything is functioning right. Could this explain the oil light problem?

Get the sandwich plate and a new OPS install it to get your oil light working.

With that said, you still have the problem with the ICU or possibly the OPS lead that was unplugged is shorting to ground someplace, find the plug and make sure it is isolated. 94

Yeah I'm going to re-run the gauge with a sandwich plate adapter. I have a new OPS but do you know where the original OPS line leads to? since mine was removed and I cant seem to find the original line. There is a random line hanging out of my firewall and I'm curious if that is it..do you know what it would look like?. And I'm going to replace the ICU anyways just to eliminate those problems and the chance of it being that.
