91 Integra Manual Car Starts, Shift into Gears, but doesn't move!?
Ok, just the other day, my car just suddenly coast while it was in gear. The car starts fine and it shift into gears but the most confusing thing is, I didn't have to step on my clutch to shift into gears and when I turn the car on, I could just shift into gear without clutching and the car won't stall. I haven't change my motor oil for 4,XXX miles and I think it might be the tranmission fluids. My clutch is not out because I had to start the car by pressing the clutch. I'm so totally confuse. My teggy is currently at my friend's house.

well, yes the clutch is out. Just because you have to press the clutch to start the car doesnt mean anything.
But first try bleeding the clutch if its hydrolic or adjusting the cable if its cable, might have a tiny bit more left in it.

How would I adjust the cable? So it doesn't have nothing to do with the transmission fluids or anything? I thought it wouldn't be the clutch because it still goes into gears even if I dont have to press the clutch pedal. If it was a bad clutch, then it won't go into gear correct? Trying to clear things out.

If you say that you can put the car into any gear w/o the clutch while the engine's running, and it's not moving.
You need a new clutch. Period.
Unless you shift linkage fell off, and you think it's going into gear.
Or your cable feel off. Look under the hood, follw your cable to the tranny, you should see a black ****, adjust that if needed.
(I highly doubt that you or someone tampered with that, and tightened the cable all the way, which is keeping your clutch disengaged)
Pressing the clutch while starting your car? It's a clutch safety feature. There's a little button switch the triggers when you press down on the clutch pedal. Look under there, you'll see it.
Hint: you don't need to step on the clutch pedal to shift gears, but in your case your clutch is out.

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate it. Luckily I have 2 spare clutches at home so I don't have to waste a ton of money. I'll check the cable to my tranny and the shift linkage so I can eliminate all the possible causes before installing the new clutch. Thanks again!

could possibly be a blown axle. I know that I had the same symptoms when one of my axles blew.

the reason you have to push the clutch to start a manual tansmission car is because of the neutral safety switch. its just a safety feature to make sure you dont start your car when you left it in gear.
your clutch is gone or your clutch cable is messed up or dissconected

I found out it was my clutch. It was totally gone! The clutch was to its bare metal and that messed up my flywheel. Well, its fixed now. Thanks to all you guys for responding to the post. I appreciate it.
