Default 1998 Integra GSR CEL Swap Related

I bet this has been covered before but I tried to search for an answer to this issue but haven't had any luck. Please point me in the right direction.

I purchased a 1998 integra GSR with a JDM B18C non type r swap.
Everything runs and works great but the cel is on. The previous owner states that the engine is running the JDM OBD2 ecu but still uses the USDM OBD1 wiring harness with an adapter running to the ecu. This is causing the cel to come on. I was told that if I replace my harness with a JDM OBD2 one that this would solve the problem.
I'm willing to do that but I would like to know if there are any other options.

Thank you

lol a "jdm one" yah cause that's the issue and makes any sense. What is the MIL on for? cause only speculations can be made for now, I didn't need a "jdm harness" to make my 99 b18cR work.

knock= see if there's one or if its plugged in, if not get one and put it in
TPS= they sometimes go bad, adjust or replace if needed
o2= replace/check it's fully plugged in/tight in the bung

all easy fixes

Wait, just to clarify everything:

The Chassis itself is a 1998 Acura Integra DC
The Engine is a JDM B18c.
The Engine Harness is an OBD1 wiring harness
The ECU is the JDM OBD2 P72 with an adapter to connect to the OBD1 harness.

Why is there an OBD1 harness in the vehicle? Was this a theft recovery? Is there a lot of electrical tape or butt connectors anywhere within the wiring harness or connections? Your problem may actually be the harness, not the sensors themselves. It's beginning to sound like the previous owner dropped in a jdm b18c into the car and used an obd 1 non-vtec engine harness because it was cheap and easy to find. Probably wired in vtec himself and spliced connectors in to work with the obd2 components.

If you find a lot of spliced connections or shotty wiring work, replace the harness with a USDM OBD2 VTEC harness. You'll need to also purchase either a USDM OBD2 P72 ecu or a JDM ECU to USDM OBD2 harness adapter.
