Hello. I just recently acquired a 1994 Acura Integra sedan. When I got the car the driver side floor was completely soaking wet. There was also a little dampness on the passenger side floor as well. I've checked for possible heater core leaks, but it is in good condition. I then discovered a few days later after a hard rain that the leak was substantially worse, but can't really tell where it's coming from. Where are some common areas to check on these cars that may have potential to leak?

It looks like it may be coming from the firewall. Doesn't have a sunroof in it.

I had a really shitty leak in my 1995 DC2 and it was coming from the seal around the right tail light. I don't know of the differences between your 4 door and mine but all I remember hearing after a hard week of rain and not driving it, was a massive rush of water as I hit the brakes at a stop light.

I'd check the seal around the door. Looks like its had some work done. Door panel doesnt seem to match the front fender. Anyway, theres a big piece at the end of the seal that should be around the mirror area. I think its actually right on the top hinge. It can be ripped off if someone was careless during a trim removal. Other than that, they are all notorious for the blower motor leak. Even if it looks good, re-seal it, especially the plastic piece thats over the outer air vent. Another thought, the seal between the door and the body...if the door has been replaced this was likely removed. It's an "s" shaped tube. I might also have a tear in it. I would also check for aftermarket wires run through the firewall, as well as the factory wiring harness, especially if its had an engine swap!

Thanks for the ideas. I actually tracked it down to right below the pillar behind the fenders. There was some of the older body sealer that had dry rotted and cracked away allowing water in. I simply added some silicone over those areas and water leak is now gone.

Same issue with my sisters db7, but instead it was the entire firewall seal that had cracked. Same solution we used.
