1993 DB2 slow "restore, build, project"
so after years and years of looking for a DB2, i finally got one on may 4th 2015.. has the b17, has the gsr trans, clean title, and pretty clean interior.. so i got it at a steal. well now i know why, it smokes like a **** after 4500 rpms lol..
car has some cheapo header, no ac, no ps, and i do not know how it is lowered yet, but the clean interior, power windows and sunroof and mirrors worked, and then the skunk2 manifold and jdm 1 pieces were enough to sell me on it
today on 5/5/15 i did basic stuff, valve cover gasket, o-ring, spark plugs, flushed the radiator and added coolant, also ordered some OEM plug wires from acura, should get those next week. and cut the hose it had to make it fit better till i get some better radiator hoses..
before i cut the hose
after i cut the hose
ready to go back in the garage

it includes the block, and the rotating assembly, so crank, pistons, rods, oil pump, oil pan. only thing you need to change over is the crank pulley. and water pump, but thats why i bought a new water pump instead. and yes pics will follow upon delivery

Nice! When I got my 00 LS in October 2014 I went to the detail shop and got everything worked on. Best $100 I spent! My interior is 98% clean just some wearing out on the drivers seat and a small scratch on the passenger door panel. After that I purchased all tune parts and went to work. I'm trying to keep mine 100% OEM as much as I can. Sub'd to this thread looking forward to updates!

i will be keeping a pretty much OEM powertrain, cuz the short block does come with a warranty. but i do have serious plans for suspension, and also will change the seats and **** to take out the stockers and set them aside

finally figured the route i am gonna take with this car, it will just be a clean OEM power train hence why i ordered a b17 again, with lots of rare goodies, and spoon parts.. the money is gonna go into the suspension, and rare parts.. hopefully just make a super clean DB2 and show my city how to do real JDM not the **** they are doing here lol

Re: 1993 DB2 slow "restore, build, project"
yea, gonna do spoon plug wires, spoon plug cover, MAYBE a spoon Valve cover, spoon oil cap, spoon rad cap, spoon hoses, spoon shift ****, and maybe a spoon steering wheel.. of course spoon windshield banner lol
the fastline performance extended shifter, hardrace front and rear camber kits, skunk2 lower control arms and tie bar, k tuned traction bar, and un decided on coilovers.. but thats my base plan for now, also will be changing to corbeau buckets and keeping the OEMs in the closet
