Default 1990 acura integra 1.8

I have gone through three alternators less than a year. The alternators have all tested and failed. The current alternator was tested, reading at 16 to 15 volts, I was told the voltage regulator wasnt bad.Today the battery died on my way home. I was also told its just my car but everyone else is saying it is the alternators what can be done? All products have been purchased at O'Reillys auto parts.

There are a few things which can cause an alternator to fail. Do you have a system in your car? Is your battery good? If your battery is not good and the alternator is constantly charging a deadish battery it can kill the alternator. You may have a short causing the alternator to over work itself, check and make sure you have good positive and ground cables, corrosion can cause issues leading to failure. Quite a bit for you to look into, but it's all easy enough.

I do not have a system in my car. I'm on my second brand new battery. The battery connections are new the grounds are new the only ground I have not gotten to is the one that goes to the alternator but I don't know where that runs to. also my idol started jumping up and down pretty nasty

Orielly should have different levels of alt. Get the lifetime warranty unit and an interstate battery, or something better like an Odyssey.

You should check your harness for parasitic draw or other issues. It sounds like you are somehow over loading your charging system. But you might just be buying the cheapest parts.

Uum, I would try and get your facts straight before you post. Oreilly auto parts does carry 3 levels of alternators for most cars which consists of; remanufactured with a 1 year warranty, remanufactured with a LIFETIME warranty, and a Brand New with a LIFETIME warranty. How do I know this, well I am a closing manager for an Oreilly Auto Parts. Does this mean we always have one in stock or the option for a Brand New one, No, but yes we do offer alternators with a Lifetime warranty.
