02 sensor

Re: 02 sensor (Baron55)
Is your Check Engine Light on?
If it is, do you have a buddy at a shop?
Have him or someone use a scanner on your computer to find out the code it is throwing...that should get you most of the way there!
I'd say chances are, if there is no CEL, then your o2 sensors are probably good to go. But certainly consult a Pro.

what year is yours? 95 and down won't neccessarily throw a code.
how recently have you done a tuneup?
a slow responding O2 won't neccesarily set off an engine light but it will affect gas mileage.

i have bad milage too, gas sucks... if u did the tune up, and ur not trowing a code, try taking the sensor off, and cleaning it, there could be dirt and other **** stuck up it, id clean all your sensors to eliminate the problem, other wise , it could be a fuel problem, or a electronic problem... hope it works out for you...

well, I think my piston rings are worn a bit...If I start it up and rev it high i get a bit of smoke..but once its warm, no smoke...and I have to give it about 1/4 quart of oil(mobile one 10w-30) if i drive hard for a bour 2-3 days...this normal? And if my rings are worn, is this screwing my mpg?
