Re: "HOW TO" TUTORIAL: ITR 5 Lug conversion on Integra (SlowRedTeg)
what is the benefit of doing this?
why couldnt one swap in the master cyl from a prelude, NSX, 4.2RL etc hell even an Odessy i would think should have some power coming out of the MC

in my car, swapping a full NSX MC is a clearance issue. later model cars may be different, and if so, then by all means take advantage of what you have available to you.
also, i've driven a 99 Si equipped with the ITR 5-lug conversion, stainless lines, EBC pads, brembo blanks; i also drove a '95 hatch with the fastbrakes 4-pot, and to be honest the 4-pot was, in MY opinion, too harsh for a daily driven vehicle. some may like stopping on a pinhead, but a dime is just fine with me. Also, if I have trouble with the caliper in the future, a rebuild will be a little easier to do as the parts will be more readily available. usually (not always, but a good chunk of the time) one has to contact wilwood directly for replacement parts. with the 5-lug it's as simple as going to the nearest dealership (of which there's 2 honda and 3 acura within a 35-minute drive of my house--all of whom stock nearly every small part, including bolts, seals, hoses, belts, and brake parts).

Re: "HOW TO" TUTORIAL: ITR 5 Lug conversion on Integra (JeremyL)
WOW, great info.
I have just one complaint. It concerns safety so i figured i would let it be heard. I noticed in the first post that the owner purchased 2 bottles of the Valvoline Synpower brake fluid. Here is my concern. This fluid is a fully synthetic DOT 5 fluid. The systems in our cars are designed to function on DOT3 only!! This is a concern because the DOT 5 fluid by nature when serviced and even under heavy use....such as racing or performance driving, is more suseptable to airiation: the forming of tiny air bubbles in the fluid that will gather to gether to cause air in the system. This will ultimatly lead to a low brake pedal when you arnt expecting it. Dont quote me on this. I will check tommorw to be sure but im almost positive.
Just a small note. However GREAT DIY!

MAxxdot, no where on the bottle does it say it is certified as DOT5. Everywhere on the bottle it says DOT3 or DOT4.

For $1018 you can get 11" front rotors w/ 4-pot calipers, plus 11" rear rotors that use the stock calipers, and all these fit under stock 15" wheels.
For this same price ($1,600) you can obtain a full JDM ITR 5-lug swap from passwordjdm.com and that comes with wheels and tires.

Re: "HOW TO" TUTORIAL: ITR 5 Lug conversion on Integra (BOLO-FTW.)
Everything is straight forward, but what about the rear.
My question is, there is no way to get away with re using the GSR rear trailing arms and spindles?
Have any of you guys tried it? or are clearances impossible?

The way I understand it, the GSR and ITR rear trailing arms are the same. However, you can not just swap the hubs. It is unsafe because the spindle nut won't thread all the way on. If you can source rear hubs/spindles you can swap them on to the arms. You can not purchase them from Acura without buying the complete trailing arm assembly.

I will be using the EK Civic Type R setup with 32mm axles.
When i need to replace them, can i use USDM Integra Type R axles?
Thanks.

Re: "HOW TO" TUTORIAL: ITR 5 Lug conversion on Integra (Comp97GSR)
**instead of making a new thread i figured I could get help here.
I recently picked up jdm itr 5lug conversion for my 99gsr w/abs.
i've searched plenty of threads and taking out the whole abs system is clearly a no for me now since it's a PITA.
What should I do? find parts for the optional jdm 5lug w/abs? if so What parts?
Or is there any way of installing the 5lug without removing abs?
